Commercial Door Installation in Indian Trail, NC

Bring us in before the order, not after it lands.

On the ground

A new-construction market, and that changes the job

Most openings out here are young, which means frames are rarely the problem and the work is specification, scheduling and compliance rather than demolition.

The mistake we see most often: a tenant takes a shell, the fit-out contractor orders doors against the shell drawings, and nobody re-checks the schedule against how the space will actually be used. Six weeks later there is a storeroom function on a door that needs to stay unlocked, an exit device missing from an opening that needs one, and a closer sized for a leaf that changed.

None of that is difficult to avoid. It requires somebody to read the schedule against the use before the order goes out, and that is the part of this business we are built around.

What the work looks like here

What Indian Trail work actually involves

The doors are on a schedule

New shells arrive with an architect's door schedule, so the specification work happens on paper months before anyone is on site. An error caught at that stage costs a phone call rather than a restocking fee.

Occupant load drives hardware

A restaurant unit and a retail unit in the same building can carry different egress hardware requirements under NFPA 101 and the adopted code, and the shell drawings will not have resolved it for you.

Fit-out sequencing

Doors land late in the programme and get compressed when everything before them ran over. Ordering early is the only real protection.

Union County permitting

A different jurisdiction from Mecklenburg with its own process. We tell you what we understand it to be and we do not speak for the inspector.

Two sets of drawings, one schedule

Where the shell drawings and the fit-out drawings disagree, reading them against each other takes a few hours. Unpicking twelve wrong openings after delivery takes weeks.

One call settles what the job actually is.

If your shell and fit-out drawings disagree, that is worth a call before anything is ordered.
