What makes the first call short
- Rough size, measured
A tape across the opening beats a guess. If the frame has moved, the measured size is the only number that matters.
- What is wrong with it now
Binding, will not latch, will not close, failed an inspection, or simply is not there yet. Each one points somewhere different.
- Label or no label
Hinge stile of the leaf, rabbet of the frame. A label changes everything about what is possible and what it will cost.
- What is on the door
Lock, closer, exit device, electrified anything. A photograph is worth more than a description.
- Where it is
The town matters. Fort Mill sits under a different state's adopted code from everywhere else we cover.
- What is driving the timing
An inspection date, a lease event, a fit-out programme, or nothing in particular. All three get scheduled differently.
