Privacy Policy
A plain account of what ends up in our records, how it got there, and what you can require us to do with it.
Information that comes from you
Nearly all of it arrives during a conversation about an opening. In practice that means:
- A name and a number that reaches you.
- The site address where work is needed.
- What the opening is, roughly what it measures, and how it is behaving.
- Any history you offer about the building, the frame or the hardware.
On jobs where authority to instruct the work has to be established, that check happens on site and is recorded as a note. Documents shown for the purpose are looked at, not copied, scanned or filed.
What this site collects on its own
There is no contact form, no newsletter signup and no account system on this site, so nothing you type here is collected. Standard server logs record the usual technical details of a request — IP address, browser type, the page requested and the time — which is how any web server works.
No advertising or tracking cookies are set at time of writing. If analytics is added, this section gets updated before it goes live rather than after.
Call tracking
The number displayed may be a tracking number that forwards to our line. Call tracking records the number you called from, the time and the duration, so we can tell which pages generate enquiries.
It does not record the content of your call unless you are told at the start of the call that it is being recorded.
What we do with it
Quote the work, carry it out, and keep a record of what was specified and fitted. Nothing else.
- We do not sell it.
- We do not add you to a marketing list you did not ask for.
- We do not share it with anyone who is not working on your job.
Where a job needs another trade — a licensed electrician, a fire alarm contractor, a mason — we share only what that trade needs to do their part.
How long it is kept
Job records are kept for as long as they are useful to you, which in this trade is years rather than months. A facilities manager asking in 2031 what was fitted in 2026 is a normal request and we would like to be able to answer it. Enquiries that never became work are cleared periodically.
What you can ask for
Ask us what we hold about you and we will tell you. Ask us to delete it and we will, subject to any records we are required to keep for tax or liability reasons. Call (333) 333 333 to make either request.
