Commercial Door Cost Estimator
A working cost range for the five commercial door lines covered across the Charlotte metro: door installation, frame replacement, hardware installation, ADA and egress corrections, and fire-rated replacement. The range updates per opening and in total as each question is answered. It is indicative, installed and before tax; the figure is fixed only once a site survey has measured the opening.

Method
How the range is built, and why it is a range
Each answer adds or scales a figure
Every line starts from a base for labour and set-up. Material, frame, rating and hardware each add their own band, a pair or an occupied building scales it, and the number of openings multiplies it.
Low and high are both real
The low end is a straightforward opening in a sound wall. The high end is the same opening once the frame turns out to be out of square or the hardware schedule grows. Most jobs land between the two.
The survey closes the gap
Measured size, frame throat, handing, wall construction and the label decide where in the range a job sits. None of them can be read off a photograph, which is why the written quote follows the survey.
It will tell you when it is not our work
Repairs to an opening that is basically sound, automatic operators and anything wired past the frame belong to other trades. If that is what you describe, you will be told so rather than quoted for it.
Questions
About the estimate
Is the estimator figure a quote?
No. It is a working range for the type of opening you describe. A written quote follows a site survey, once the opening has been measured, the wall checked and any fire label read.
What is not included in the range?
Wall, drywall or masonry repair beyond the frame line, painting, electrical or access-control wiring past the frame, and permit fees where a jurisdiction charges them. Each line lists its own exclusions beside the range.
Why might the final figure differ from the range?
A frame that has moved, a wall that is masonry rather than stud, a label nobody had read, or a hardware schedule that grows once the function is agreed. Each of those surfaces at survey and is put in writing before anything is ordered.
What happens after I send it?
Your answers, the range and your contact details reach the crew. Somebody who works on the jobs calls you back to talk it through and, if it is our work, to quote the survey.
Who sees my details?
Charlotte Commercial Doors and the partner contractor who would carry out the work. They are used to answer the enquiry and nothing else, and are never sold or added to a marketing list.
Say what the opening is. We will tell you which line it falls under.
Describe the opening — what it is, roughly what it measures, and what is wrong with it. You will get told whether it is a leaf job, an opening job, or somebody else's job.
